iunctura means “connection”.
I bring skills and expertise in Safety Culture, Mental Health and Wellbeing, and Inclusion and Allyship. These may appear to be stand alone but are very much connected. While we can work on any of them individually, I believe that linking them will save you time and money while improving productivity.
Safety Systems and Culture

Safety Culture is all about behaviours, attitudes and leadership.
Have you ever wondered how, despite companies having safety certification and systems in place, aircraft can crash, buildings collapse, boats sink, trains derail? Or how people get injured, some sadly lose their lives?
I have successfully created, managed and improved safety systems across multiple industries.
Working in partnership with me, we can review your Safety Culture to make sure this doesn’t happen to you.
Looking at a range of factors such as your Safety Management System (SMS) and Safety leadership, we can see what works well and put an improvement plan in place where appropriate.

Mental Health and Wellbeing

It is estimated that 16.4 million days are lost in UK companies per year for ill health (stress, anxiety and depression).
There are an estimated 3400 mental health charities registered in the UK to pick up the pieces.
Suicide is the largest killer of men under 50 in the UK, with men 3x more likely than women to self-harm.
So as companies looking after our people, perhaps what we are doing may not be working as well as we hope. But what if there was a different way of tackling this?
I have created and run award-winning mental health and wellbeing programmes, and, together, we can work on improving this in your company.
If you link this to your Safety Culture, the improvements and benefits are even greater.
Masculinity, Allyship and Inclusion

Life is hard enough at times, and for some groups it’s tougher than for others.
Huge effort has been expended by so many to improve things for under-represented groups in companies, with networks making significant progress.
But there are far fewer discussions around topics such as masculinity and male behaviour, the role of males in helping / hindering under-represented groups, and positive male role-modelling.
Many teams, particularly engineers and operators, are reporting feeling disconnected from HR-led initiatives and DEI programmes, and GenZ are increasingly feeling DEI has gone too far.
I am an engineer and operator, bringing a relatable perspective to your workforce.
I can help you tackle these discussions sensitively, addressing masculinity in the workplace, growing better allies and helping develop your inclusive culture further.
And if you link Allyship and Masculinity with Mental Health, which should in turn linked to your Safety Culture, you can make a real difference with fewer programmes and initiatives and a much more connected workforce.
